The cash value will be a projected $221 million up for grab. Mega Millions' jackpot increased since nobody matched all five lotto numbers and the Mega Ball number drawn Friday night. The winning numbers from Friday, August 27th, 2021 drawing were 01-10-44-47-56 with Mega Ball number 23 and Megaplier X3.

Even though the jackpot was not awarded Friday evening, some players still walked away with big money. There were three lucky winners matched all five lotto numbers but missed Mega Ball number, which won the second prize. The three second prize winning ticket(s) bought in won a quarter million dollar cash each.

Additional prizes won Friday evening included 21 tickets that matched 4 white numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $10,000. Mega Millions is played in 43 states and Washington DC. It holds the record largest jackpot in U.S. lottery history. Mega Millions drawings occur every Tuesday and Friday at 7:59 p.m. Pacific Time. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to pay $1 extra to buy the Megaplier, which multiplies the original prizes 2 to 5 times but not jackpot.
