Mega Millions jackpot jumps to $187 million Friday, December 24th, 2021; One ticket matched the first 5 numbers

The jackpot in the multi-state Mega Millions lottery drawing built to $187 million for the Friday drawing. The cash value will be an estimated $134.3 million. None of the tickets sold for Tuesday's $171 million drawing hit six numbers. The winning numbers from Tuesday, December 21st, 2021 drawing were 25-31-58-64-67 with Mega Ball number 24 and Megaplier x3. There was no jackpot winning ticket sold in the past 433 draws since Tuesday, October 17th, 2017.A single lucky player from New York walked away with $104 million top prize in Friday, September 22nd, 2017 drawing.
While the jackpot was not awarded Tuesday evening, Mega Millions did produce some big winners. There was a sole lucky player that correctly matched the first five numbers and won the second prize. The one second prize winning ticket(s) sold in won a quarter million dollar cash each.
Additional prizes won Tuesday evening included 13 tickets that matched 4 white numbers together with Mega Ball and won $10,000. Other prizes won Tuesday night included 240 tickets that matched four white numbers and won $500. Other prizes won included 669 tickets that matched 3 white numbers in addition to the Mega Ball and won $200.
With 9 prize levels, there were a total of 1,107,660 winning tickets sold nationwide in the Tuesday, December 21st, 2021 drawing.
Mega Millions is played in 43 states and D.C. Roughly 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back on the players through prize winnings.
