The jackpot in America's favorite Mega Millions lottery game continues to increase exciting players all across the country. Because no player correctly matched all 6 numbers in Friday's drawing the grand prize will move to an estimated 312,000,000! The cash option will be $173.6 million up for grab. The numbers drawn Tuesday night, June 21st, 2022 were 08-13-18-32-42 and the Mega Ball was 20, Megaplier was 3. Nobody won the Mega Millions jackpot in the past 485 draws since Tuesday, October 17th, 2017.One lucky player from New York won the $104 million jackpot in Friday, September 22nd, 2017 drawing.
Though the jackpot was not awarded Tuesday evening, Mega Millions did produce some big winners. 14 third prize winning tickets were sold nationwide. Among them, 14 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000.
Also, 419 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $500. 901 tickets matched 3 of the 5 lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. These tickets are also each worth $200.
With nine different prize tiers, there were a total of 1,330,002 winning tickets sold across the nation in the Tuesday, June 21st, 2022 drawing.
Mega Millions can be played in 43 states and D.C. It holds the record largest jackpot of $656 million in North American lottery history. Mega Millions drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday night at 7:59 p.m. Pacific Time. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to pay 1 extra dollar to purchase the Megaplier, which multiplies the original prizes 2 to 5 times except grand prize. The minimum Mega Millions advertised jackpot starts at $40 million. Its annuity option is paid in 30 equal annual payments. Winners may choose one-time lump-sum cash payout option instead.
