Monday's Powerball jackpot climbs to $421 million; Two second prize tickets sold

The grand prize in the Powerball multistate lottery game keeps moving up and is going to be up to a projected $421 million for the next drawing on Monday. The lump-sum cash payout stands at an estimated $252.1 million. The amount was rolled over because no one matched all 5 lotto numbers plus the Powerball number to win the $400 million jackpot Saturday night. The numbers from Saturday, April 23rd, 2022 drawing were 10, 39, 47, 49, 56 with Power Ball 08.
Although the jackpot was not hit Saturday evening, some people still walked away with huge prizes. There were two lucky winners correctly matched the first 5 white ball numbers but missed Powerball number, which won the second prize. The 2 lucky ticket(s) sold in Arizona(1) and Florida(1), each won $1 million cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Additional prizes won Saturday night included 24 tickets that matched 4 white numbers in addition to the Powerball and won $10,000. A ticket sold in Florida matched 4 white ball numbers and also the Powerball. The lucky ticket holder will collect $10,000 cash. A single ticket sold in Florida matched 4 white ball numbers as well as the Powerball with Power Play option purchased. The lucky ticket holder will collect $40,000. 170 tickets were sold in the state of Florida which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers. The lucky ticket holders will collect $100 each. 41 tickets were sold in the state of Florida which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers with Power Play. The lucky ticket holders will receive $200 each.
With nine ways to win, the Saturday night's drawing created 1,255,362 winning tickets nationwide with a total amount of $0 prizes.
America's favorite Powerball can be played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Powerball drawings are held 2 times a week every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time.
