The jackpot for Saturday's Powerball drawing skyrockets to $278 million

The jackpot in the Powerball multi-state lottery game has been rolled up to $278 million. The lump-sum cash payout stands at an estimated $196.6 million up for grab. The prize amount was rolled over since no one hit all 5 lotto numbers plus the Powerball number in Wednesday's $264 million drawing. The next Powerball drawing is Saturday night. The winning numbers from Wednesday night, December 1st, 2021 were 12-15-38-57-63 with Power Ball 24. The Powerball jackpot has been growing for 64 draws since Wednesday, June 16th, 2021. A single lucky winner from walked away with $31.00 million grand prize in Saturday, June 12th, 2021 drawing.
Although the grand prize was not awarded Wednesday evening, some players still walked away with huge prizes. A total of 16 lucky tickets won the 3rd prize with or without Power Play. 4 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that multiplied winnings 4 times to $40,000 cash!
Other prizes won Wednesday night included 252 tickets that matched 4 white numbers and won $100. 87 additional tickets of this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that doubled winnings to $200 cash! There were 653 tickets that correctly matched three white ball numbers plus the Powerball and also won $100. 191 additional players not only matched 3+1, but also chose the Power Play option, doulbled the prizes to $200 cash each ticket.
There were 46,426 Powewrball winning tickets sold in the state of Florida. There was one lucky Florida player matched 4 white ball numbers as well as the Powerball and won $10,000. 58 tickets were sold in the state of Florida which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers. The lucky ticket holders will receive $100 each. There were 27 lucky Floridaers won $200 prize by matching 4 or 3+1 numbers with Power Play purchased.
