The jackpot for Saturday's Powerball drawing soars to 279,000,000

The grand prize in the multi-state Powerball drawing built to 279,000,000 for the Saturday drawing. The lump-sum cash payout stands at $159.4 million. No ticket sold for Wednesday's 258,000,000 drawing matched six numbers. The numbers drawn Wednesday night, June 15th, 2022 were 19, 28, 41, 42, 51 with Power Ball 07. No one won the Powerball grand prize in the past 148 draws since Wednesday, June 16th, 2021. The last jackpot was won by one lucky ticket sold in , matched all six numbers for a $31.00 million top prize.
Though the jackpot was not hit Wednesday evening, Powerball had some big winners. There was a single lucky winner correctly matched the first 5 numbers but missed Powerball number, which won the second prize. The one lucky ticket(s) purchased in Texas, each won 1 million dollar cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Additional prizes won Wednesday evening included 11 tickets that matched four white ball numbers as well as the Powerball and won $10,000. 3 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely bought with the Power Play option that multiplied the prize 4 times to $40,000 cash! Additional prizes won Wednesday evening included 227 tickets that matched 4 white numbers and won $100. 80 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely bought with the Power Play option that doubled winnings to $200 cash! There were 47,603 Powewrball winning tickets sold in the state of Florida. 2 tickets sold in Florida matched 4 white ball numbers and also the Powerball. These lucky ticket holders will receive $10,000 cash each. 86 tickets were sold in the state of Florida which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers. The lucky ticket holders will collect $100 each.
