Saturday's Powerball game jackpot will be worth an estimated 78,000,000 (cash option $41.1 million), since no one hit all six numbers in Wednesday night's drawing. The winning numbers from Wednesday night, March 15th, 2023 were 16, 18, 33, 37, 50 with Power Ball number 08.
While the grand prize was not awarded Wednesday evening, Powerball had some big winners. A total of 7 lucky players won the third prize with or without Power Play option. These included 7 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers as well as the Powerball and won $10,000.
Additional prizes won Wednesday night included 158 tickets that matched 4 white numbers and won $100. 62 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that doubled the prize to $200 cash! Additional prizes won Wednesday evening included 423 tickets that matched 3 white numbers as well as the Powerball and won $100. 147 additional tickets at this prize level were also purchased with the Power Play option that doubled winnings to $200 cash.
There were 31,020 Powewrball winning tickets sold in the state of Florida. There was a single lucky Florida player matched 4 lotto numbers in addition to the Powerball and won $10,000. There were 67 lucky Florida players won $100 prize by matching 4 or 3+1 numbers. 16 tickets were sold in the state of Florida which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers with Power Play. The lucky ticket holders will receive $200 each.
With 9 different prize levels, the Wednesday night's drawing produced 332,555 winning tickets nationwide with a total amount of $0 prizes.
Powerball lottery can be played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. The overall odds of winning is about 1 to 32. The odds of winning Powerball jackpot are 1 to 292,201,338. The minimum Powerball jackpot starts at $40 million. The annuity option is paid in 30 graduated installments. Winners can select one lump-sum cash payout option instead.
