Powerball jackpot rises to $179,000,000 Monday night; 1 player won the second prize

The grand prize in the Powerball multi-state lottery game has been increased to 179,000,000. The cash option stands at a projected $92 million. The prize amount was rolled over since no player matched all 6 winning numbers in Saturday's 162,000,000 drawing. The next Powerball lottery drawing is Monday night. The winning numbers drawn Saturday night, May 20th, 2023 were 17, 23, 32, 38, 63 with Power Ball 23.
While there was no grand prize winner Saturday evening, Powerball did produce some big winners. There was a single second prize winning ticket from Saturday night's Powerball drawing, matching all five lotto numbers but not the Powerball number. The 1 second prize ticket(s) from Kansas matched all 5 white ball numbers and also chose Power Play, which doubled the prize to $2 million cash win!
Additional prizes won Saturday night included 9 tickets that matched four white ball numbers as well as the Powerball and won $10,000. 3 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely bought with the Power Play option that multiplied winnings 4 times to $40,000 cash!
