The jackpot for Saturday's Powerball drawing soars to $211,000,000

With no winner in the latest draw, the Powerball jackpot is going to be worth a projected 211,000,000 (lump-sum cash payout $108.4 million) the next time the multistate lottery is played on Saturday. The amount carried over since no one hit all six numbers to win the 190,000,000 jackpot Wednesday night. The numbers from Wednesday night, May 24th, 2023 were 12, 21, 44, 50, 58 and Powerball number was 26. The Powerball grand prize has been growing for 295 draws since Wednesday, June 16th, 2021. One lucky winner from won the $31.00 million jackpot in Saturday, June 12th, 2021 drawing.
While there was no jackpot winner Wednesday evening, some people still walked away with big money. There were a total of 17 third prize lucky winning tickets with or without Power Play. There were 2 tickets matched 4+1 with Power Play option, multiplying the prizes by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each!
Additional winners Wednesday night included 191 tickets that matched four white ball numbers and won $100. 59 additional players not just matched 4 white ball, but additionally purchased the Power Play option, double the winnings to a total win of $200 each! 467 tickets matched 3 of the 5 lotto numbers, plus the Powerball number. These tickets are also each worth $100. There were 148 tickets matched 3+1 with Power Play option, doubled the prizes to win a total win of $200 each.
There were 32,853 Powewrball winning tickets sold in the state of Florida. 2 tickets sold in Florida matched 4 lotto numbers and also the Powerball. These lucky ticket holders will receive $10,000 cash each. 47 tickets were sold in the state of Florida which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers. The lucky ticket holders will receive $100 each. There were 17 lucky Florida players won $200 prize by matching 4 or 3+1 numbers with Power Play purchased.
With 9 different prize levels, there were a total of 389,774 tickets across the nation won a total of $0 prizes in the Wednesday, May 24th, 2023 drawing.
Powerball can be played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Powerball drawings are held 2 times a week every Wednesday and Saturday night at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Powerball game uses a 5/69 (white balls) + 1/26 (Powerballs) matrix from which winning numbers are chosen. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to spend 1 extra dollar to purchase the Power Play option, which multiplies the prizes except jackpot. The minimum Powerball advertised jackpot is $40,000,000.
