The jackpot for Saturday's Powerball drawing skyrockets to $262,000,000

There has been another roll-over in the grand prize for the multistate Powerball lottery - to 262,000,000. The cash value stands at a projected $133.2 million up for grab. The jackpot grew since no player matched all five white ball numbers plus the Powerball number from Wednesday night's 239,000,000 drawing. The winning numbers from Wednesday, May 31st, 2023 drawing were 02-04-54-61-62 with Power Ball number 14.
Although the grand prize was not awarded Wednesday evening, Powerball had some big winners. There were 4 second prize winners from Wednesday night's Powerball drawing, matching all 5 numbers except the Powerball number. The four lucky ticket(s) sold in California(1), Indiana(1), Kentucky(1) and Ohio(1), each won $1 million cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
In addition, 5 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers, as well as the Powerball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. 2 additional players not only matched 4+1, but in addition chose the Power Play option, multiplying the prizes by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each! Other winners Wednesday evening included 187 tickets that matched four white ball numbers and won $100. 57 additional players not only matched 4 white ball, and also chose the Power Play option, double the prizes to a total win of $200 each! Additional prizes won Wednesday night included 497 tickets that matched 3 white numbers plus the Powerball and won $100. 176 additional tickets of this prize level were also bought with the Power Play option that doubled the prize to $200 cash.
With nine ways to win, the Wednesday night's drawing produced 438,789 winning tickets across the nation with a total amount of $0 prizes.
Powerball is an American popular lottery game offered in 44 member states as a pari-mutuel jackpot game. Powerball drawings are held 2 times a week every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 PM Eastern Time. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to spend $1 extra to buy the Power Play option, which multiplies the prizes except grand prize. The minimum Powerball advertised grand prize is 40 million dollar.
