Saturday's Powerball jackpot climbs to $31 million; One player won the second prize

Wall Street is not the only place where fortunes are made and lost these days. One fortune is going to be up for grabs on Saturday, when Powerball lottery has $31 million on the line. The lump-sum cash payout stands at a projected $22 million. Powerball's jackpot went up since no one hit all 6 winning numbers drawn Wednesday night. The numbers from Wednesday, October 6th, 2021 drawing were 01, 17, 52, 58, 64 with Power Ball number 01. No one won the Powerball grand prize in the past 40 draws since Wednesday, June 16th, 2021. The last jackpot was won by one lucky ticket sold in , matched all six numbers for a $31.00 million top prize.
Although there was no jackpot winner Wednesday evening, Powerball did produce some big winners. There was a sole ticket that correctly matched the first five white ball numbers and won the 2nd prize. The 1 lucky ticket(s) bought in Pennsylvania, each won 1 million dollar cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
In addition, 10 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, plus the Powerball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. Also, 191 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $100. There were 69 tickets matched 4 white ball with Power Play option, doubled the prizes to a total win of $200 each! Additional prizes won Wednesday night included 468 tickets that matched 3 white numbers in addition to the Powerball and won $100. 178 additional tickets of this prize level were also bought with the Power Play option that doubled winnings to $200 cash.
There were 36,436 Powewrball winning tickets sold in the state of Florida. There was one lucky Floridaer matched 4 white ball numbers in addition to the Powerball and won $10,000. There were 53 lucky Florida winners won $100 prize by matching 4 or 3+1 numbers. 25 tickets were sold in the state of Florida which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers with Power Play. The lucky ticket holders will collect $200 each.
With 9 different prize levels, the Wednesday night's drawing generated 413,126 winning tickets across the nation with a total amount of $0 prizes.
