No ticket matched all 6 numbers last night. Powerball jackpot breaks to $85 million Saturday

The Powerball grand prize increased because no player matched all 5 white ball numbers plus the Powerball number from Wednesday night's $75 million drawing. The next grand prize leaped to $85 million for Saturday night's drawing. The lump-sum cash payout stands at a projected $67.9 million up for grab. The numbers from Wednesday, September 9th, 2020 drawing were 27-52-55-60-64 and Powerball number was 21. The Powerball grand prize has been rolling over for 60 draws since Saturday, February 15th, 2020. The last jackpot was won by a single ticket sold in Michigan, matched all six numbers for a $70.00 million top prize.
Though there was no grand prize winner Wednesday evening, Powerball had some huge winners. 6 3rd prize winning tickets were sold across the U.S.. These included 5 tickets that matched four white ball numbers as well as the Powerball and won $10,000.

Powerball game is played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Powerball drawings are held 2 times a week every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 PM Eastern Time. Powerball game uses a 5/69 (white balls) + 1/26 (Powerballs) system from which winning numbers are chosen. Each play costs $2.
