A single player in NY walked away with 476,000,000 Mega Millions jackpot in Friday night's drawing

A single of the tickets purchased in NY for the Florida Mega Millions Friday night matched all 6 numbers drawn. The player matching all five numbers and the Mega Ball won the 476,000,000 grand prize. The winning numbers from Friday, April 14th, 2023 drawing were 23, 27, 41, 48, 51 with Mega Ball number 22 and Megaplier x2. The winner can either take a cash option worth $256 million before taxes, or choose to receive 30-year annuity option with yearly payment approximately of $18.31 million before taxes. The grand prize winner is encouraged to sign the ticket, place it in a secure place and get in touch with lottery officials as soon as possible. Jackpot winner has the chance to choose the cash value of the jackpot while claiming the prize. If the winner does not make choice, the payment option will revert to annuity by default.
