The grand prize in America's favorite Mega Millions lottery game continues to increase exciting players all across the nation. Because no one correctly matched all six numbers in Friday's drawing the jackpot will move to an estimated $284,000,000! The cash option stands at $$127.6 million up for grab. The numbers from Tuesday, April 30th, 2024 drawing were 10, 18, 27, 37, 61 and the Mega Ball was 05, Megaplier was 3. There was no jackpot winning ticket sold in the past ten draws since Friday, March 29th, 2024.One lucky player from NJ walked away with $0 million top prize in Tuesday, March 26th, 2024 drawing.
While the grand prize was not hit Tuesday evening, Mega Millions did produce some big winners. There were 3 lucky players that correctly matched all five white ball numbers and won the 2nd prize. The 3 second prize winning ticket(s) purchased in CA,MS,NY won a quarter million dollar cash each.
In addition, 13 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. Other prizes won Tuesday night included 333 tickets that matched four lotto numbers and won $500. Other prizes won included 982 tickets that matched 3 white numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $200.
With 9 different ways to win, there were a total of 1,379,142 winning tickets sold nationwide in the Tuesday, April 30th, 2024 drawing.
Mega Millions is a consortium of 44 state lotteries. About 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back to the players through prizes. Roughly 15% goes to retailer commissions and lottery operation expenses. Approximately 35% total sales is used to support government services, education and charities in the member states. The minimum Mega Millions jackpot is $40 million. Its annuity option is paid in 30 equal annual payments. Winners can select one time lump sum cash payout instead.
