Massive Mega Millions jackpot up for grabs Friday night

There has been another rollover in the jackpot for the multistate Mega Millions - to 284,000,000. The cash value will be a projected $144.8 million up for grab. The jackpot grew because nobody matched all five white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball number from Tuesday night's 259,000,000 drawing. The numbers from Tuesday, November 22nd, 2022 drawing were 13-23-24-25-43 with Mega Ball 02 and Megaplier X3.
Though there was no grand prize winner Tuesday evening, some players still walked away with large winnings. There was a single lucky player that correctly matched all five numbers and won the 2nd prize. The one lucky ticket(s) purchased in FL, each won $1,000,000 cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Other prizes won Tuesday evening included 18 tickets that matched four white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $10,000. Other prizes won Tuesday night included 559 tickets that matched 4 lotto numbers and won $500. There were 1430 tickets that correctly matched three white ball numbers as well as the Mega Ball and also won $200.
With nine prize levels, there were 1,686,868 winning tickets sold across the nation in the Tuesday, November 22nd, 2022 drawing.
Mega Millions is a consortium of 44 state lotteries. Around 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back towards the players in prize winnings. Approximately 15% goes to commission of retailers and lottery operation expenses. Approximately 35% total sales is used to support government services, education and charities in the participating states. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to pay 1 extra dollar to purchase the Megaplier, which multiplies the original winnings 2 to 5 times but not jackpot. The minimum Mega Millions jackpot is $40,000,000. The annuity option is paid in 30 equal yearly installments. Winners can select one time lump sum cash payout option instead.
