The Mega Millions grand prize is on the move again. The grand prize for the Tuesday, April 16th, 2024 drawing builds to $148,000,000 with the cash value of $$67.8 million. The winning numbers from Friday, April 12th, 2024 drawing were 01-12-14-18-66 with Mega Ball number 16 and Megaplier x2.
Though there was no jackpot winner Friday evening, some people still walked away with big money. There were 3 lucky players that correctly matched the first 5 lotto numbers and won the second prize. The 3 second prize winning ticket(s) purchased in MO,NY,PA will collect a quarter million dollar cash each.
Other prizes won Friday night included 9 tickets that matched 4 white numbers together with Mega Ball and won $10,000. Other prizes won Friday night included 330 tickets that matched 4 white numbers and won $500. 803 tickets matched three of the five lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. These tickets are also each worth $200.
With 9 different prize tiers, there were a total of 1,148,450 winning tickets sold nationwide in the Friday, April 12th, 2024 drawing.
Mega Millions is an U.S. popular lottery game sold in 44 lottery jurisdictions as a pari-mutuel jackpot game. Roughly 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back for the players through prizes. The chances of winning Mega Millions jackpot are 1 to 302,575,350. The minimum Mega Millions jackpot starts at $40 million. Its annuity option is paid in 30 equal yearly payments. Winners may select one time lump-sum cash payout option instead.
