The jackpot for Friday's Mega Millions drawing soars to $405,000,000

The Mega Millions lottery jackpot increased because nobody matched all five lotto numbers and the Mega Ball number from Tuesday night's $374,000,000 drawing. The next jackpot climbed to $405,000,000 for Friday night's drawing. The lump-sum cash payout stands at an estimated $$197.7 million. The winning numbers from Tuesday, August 6th, 2024 drawing were 23, 29, 36, 61, 70 and the Mega Ball was 22, Megaplier was 4. There was no jackpot winning ticket sold in the past 18 draws since Friday, June 7th, 2024.The last jackpot was won by one lucky ticket sold in IL, matched all six numbers for a $560 million top prize.
Although there was no jackpot winner Tuesday evening, Mega Millions had some huge winners. There was a single lucky player that correctly matched the first 5 lotto numbers and won the second prize. The one second prize winning ticket(s) bought in OH will collect $1,000,000 cash each.
Additional prizes won Tuesday night included 12 tickets that matched 4 white numbers as well as the Mega Ball and won $10,000. Other prizes won Tuesday evening included 327 tickets that matched four white ball numbers and won $500. 859 tickets matched three of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Mega Ball number. These tickets are also each worth $200.
With 9 prize tiers, there were a total of 1,428,590 winning tickets sold across the nation in the Tuesday, August 6th, 2024 drawing.
Mega Millions is a consortium involving 44 state lotteries. It holds the record highest jackpot in United States lottery history.
