Friday's Mega Millions jackpot climbs to $464,000,000; 1 second prize ticket sold

Florida Mega Millions News and Payout for Tuesday, August 13th, 2024 Drawing
The grand prize in the Mega Millions multi-state lottery game has been increased to $464,000,000. The cash value will be $$228.2 million. The prize amount was rolled over since nobody hit all six winning numbers in Tuesday's $435,000,000 drawing. The next Mega Millions game drawing is Friday night. The winning numbers from Tuesday, August 13th, 2024 drawing were 34, 55, 59, 65, 70 and the Mega Ball was 12, Megaplier was 4.
Though there was no jackpot winner Tuesday evening, Mega Millions did produce some big winners. There was only one second prize winning ticket from Tuesday night's Mega Millions drawing, matching the first five lotto numbers except the Mega Ball number. The 1 second prize winning ticket(s) sold in NY won a quarter million dollar cash each.
Other prizes won Tuesday evening included 13 tickets that matched 4 white numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $10,000. Also, 367 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $500. There were 962 tickets that correctly matched 3 white ball numbers as well as the Mega Ball and also won $200.
With nine ways to win, there were 1,728,802 winning tickets sold across U.S. in the Tuesday, August 13th, 2024 drawing.
Mega Millions is one of the most popular lottery games in the U.S. can be played in 44 member states as a shared jackpot game. It holds the record highest jackpot in United States lottery history. Mega Millions uses a 5/70 (white balls) + 1/25 (Mega Balls) matrix to randomly pick winning numbers. The minimum Mega Millions grand prize starts at 40 million dollar.
