The grand prize in America's favorite Mega Millions lottery game continues to climb exciting players all across the nation. Because no player correctly matched all five lotto numbers plus the Mega Ball number in Tuesday's drawing the grand prize will climb to a projected $216,000,000! The lump-sum cash payout will be $$97 million up for grab. The winning numbers from Friday night, August 15th, 2025 were 04-17-27-34-69 with Mega Ball 16 and Megaplier . The Mega Millions jackpot has been growing for 41 draws since Friday, March 28th, 2025.A single lucky winner from IL won the $344 million grand prize in Tuesday, March 25th, 2025 drawing.
Though there was no grand prize winner Friday evening, Mega Millions did produce some big winners. There were two lucky tickets correctly matched the first 5 lotto numbers but missed Mega Ball number, which won the second prize. The two second prize winning ticket(s) bought in NY(2) will collect a quarter million dollar cash each.
Other prizes won Friday evening included 4 tickets that matched 4 white numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $10,000. Other winners Friday night included 155 tickets that matched four white ball numbers and won $500. 350 tickets matched three of the five lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. These tickets are also each worth $200.
With nine ways to win, there were 427,598 winning tickets sold across the nation in the Friday, August 15th, 2025 drawing.
Mega Millions lottery is played in 43 states and Washington DC. Mega Millions drawings are held 2 times a week every Tuesday and Friday at 7:59 PM Pacific Time. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to spend 1 extra dollar to purchase the Megaplier, which multiplies the winnings 2 to 5 times but not jackpot. The minimum Mega Millions grand prize is $40,000,000. The annuity option is paid in 30 equal yearly payments. Winners may select one lump sum cash payout instead.
