The jackpot for Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing soars to $302,000,000

The grand prize in the Mega Millions multi-state lottery game has been increased to $302,000,000. The cash option stands at $$136 million. The prize amount was rolled over since no one matched all five white ball numbers and the Mega Ball number in Friday's $277,000,000 drawing. The next Mega Millions drawing is Tuesday night. The winning numbers from Friday, August 29th, 2025 drawing were 13-31-32-44-45 with Mega Ball number 21 and Megaplier . Nobody won the Mega Millions grand prize in the past 45 draws since Friday, March 28th, 2025.One lucky winner from IL won the $344 million jackpot in Tuesday, March 25th, 2025 drawing.
Even though the jackpot was not hit Friday evening, some players still walked away with big money. 8 third prize winning tickets were sold nationwide. These included 8 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers as well as the Mega Ball and won $10,000.
Also, 199 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $500. 523 tickets matched 3 of the 5 lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. These tickets are also each worth $200.
With 9 different prize tiers, there were 658,036 winning tickets sold nationwide in the Friday, August 29th, 2025 drawing.
Mega Millions can be played in 43 states and Washington DC. Mega Millions drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday night at 7:59 p.m. Pacific Time. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to pay 1 extra dollar to buy the Megaplier, which multiplies the original prizes 2 to 5 times but not grand prize. The minimum Mega Millions advertised jackpot is $40,000,000. Its annuity option is paid in 30 equal yearly installments. Winners may select one lump sum cash payout instead.
