The grand prize in America's favorite Mega Millions lottery is on the move. Since no one correctly hit all six winning numbers in Friday's drawing, the grand prize will climb to a projected $114,000,000! The cash value stands at an estimated $$56.6 million. The winning numbers from Friday, December 29th, 2023 drawing were 11-27-30-62-70 with Mega Ball 10 and Megaplier 3.
Even though there was no grand prize winner Friday evening, some players still walked away with large winnings. A total of 13 lucky tickets won the third prize. These included 13 tickets that matched 4 white numbers in addition to the Mega Ball and won $10,000.
Other winners Friday evening included 228 tickets that matched four white ball numbers and won $500. Other prizes won included 695 tickets that matched 3 white numbers together with Mega Ball and won $200.
With nine prize levels, there were a total of 1,203,134 winning tickets sold across the nation in the Friday, December 29th, 2023 drawing.
Mega Millions is a consortium associated with 44 state lotteries. Mega Millions drawings occur every Tuesday and Friday night at 7:59 p.m. Pacific Time. Mega Millions lottery uses a 5/70+1/25 system from which winning numbers are chosen. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to spend 1 extra dollar to buy the Megaplier, which multiplies the original winnings 2 to 5 times but not jackpot. The minimum Mega Millions grand prize starts at 40 million dollar. The annuity option is paid in 30 equal annual installments. Winners may choose one lump-sum cash payout option instead.
