The jackpot for Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing skyrockets to $425,000,000

Florida Mega Millions lottery News and Payout for Friday, February 9th, 2024 Drawing
The Mega Millions lottery jackpot has been pumped up to $425,000,000 (cash value $$202 million) for the next drawing in the multistate lottery game Tuesday night. The grand prize amount has been carried over since nobody hit all five lotto numbers plus the Mega Ball number to take the $394,000,000 jackpot Friday night. The numbers from Friday, February 9th, 2024 drawing were 17-22-29-46-69 and the Mega Ball was 01, Megaplier was 3. There was no jackpot winning ticket sold in the past eighteen draws since Tuesday, December 12th, 2023.
Although there was no grand prize winner Friday evening, Mega Millions did produce some big winners. 26 3rd prize winning tickets were sold across the nation. Among them, 26 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000.
Additional prizes won Friday evening included 332 tickets that matched four white ball numbers and won $500. 926 tickets matched three of the five lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. These tickets are also each worth $200.
With 9 prize tiers, there were a total of 1,420,702 winning tickets sold across the nation in the Friday, February 9th, 2024 drawing.
Mega Millions is a consortium of 44 state lotteries. Mega Millions drawings occur every Tuesday and Friday night at 7:59 PM Pacific Time. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to spend $1 extra to buy the Megaplier, which multiplies the original prizes 2 to 5 times but not grand prize. The chances of winning are about 1 to 14. The odds of matching all six Mega Millions numbers are about 1 in 302 million. The minimum Mega Millions advertised jackpot starts at $40,000,000. The annuity option is paid in 30 equal annual installments. Winners may choose one-time lump sum cash payout option instead.
