There has been another carry over in the jackpot for the multistate Mega Millions game - to $458,000,000. The cash value will be an estimated $$212.4 million. The grand prize grew because no player matched all five white ball numbers and the Mega Ball number from Tuesday night's $438,000,000 drawing. The numbers drawn Tuesday night, February 24th, 2026 were 12-39-43-49-55 with Mega Ball 23 and Megaplier X. There was no jackpot winning ticket sold in the past 96 draws since Friday, March 28th, 2025.One lucky winner from IL walked away with $344 million jackpot in Tuesday, March 25th, 2025 drawing.

Even though there was no jackpot winner Tuesday evening, some people still walked away with huge pile of cash. There were two lucky tickets matched all 5 white ball numbers but missed Mega Ball number, which won the 2nd prize. The two second prize winning ticket(s) bought in will collect a quarter million dollar cash each.

Additional major winners Tuesday night included 10 tickets that matched four white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $10,000. Also, 172 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to pay $1 extra to purchase the Megaplier, which multiplies the prizes 2 to 5 times but not jackpot. The overall chances of winning any prizes are about 1 to 14. The chances of matching 6 Mega Millions numbers are 1 to 302,575,350. The minimum Mega Millions advertised grand prize is $40,000,000. Its annuity option is paid in 30 equal annual installments. Winners can select one time lump sum cash payout instead.
