Friday's Mega Millions jackpot climbs to $77,000,000; One second prize ticket sold

The Mega Millions grand prize has been pumped up to an estimated $77,000,000 (lump-sum cash payout $$34.1 million) for the next drawing in the multistate lottery game Friday night. The grand prize amount has been rolled over since nobody hit all 5 lotto numbers and the Mega Ball number to take the $62,000,000 jackpot Tuesday night. The numbers from Tuesday night, January 7th, 2025 were 20-24-33-39-48 and the Mega Ball was 18, Megaplier was 2.
Though the grand prize was not awarded Tuesday evening, Mega Millions had some huge winners. There was only one ticket that correctly matched all 5 white ball numbers and won the 2nd prize. The one lucky ticket(s) sold in MI, each won one quarter million dollar cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
In addition, 7 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. Other prizes won Tuesday evening included 192 tickets that matched 4 white numbers and won $500. There were 498 tickets that correctly matched three white ball numbers as well as the Mega Ball and also won $200.
