Mega Millions jackpot breaks to $279,000,000 Tuesday, July 23rd, 2024; Three players matched the first 5 numbers

FL Mega Millions News and Payout for Friday, July 19th, 2024 Drawing
The Mega Millions multi-state lottery jackpot increased to $279,000,000 (cash option $$131.1 million) Tuesday night when there were no top prize winners in the $251,000,000 drawing, lottery officials said. The numbers from Friday night, July 19th, 2024 were 10, 17, 23, 50, 67 and the Mega Ball was 03, Megaplier was 3. The Mega Millions grand prize has been rolling over for 13 draws since Friday, June 7th, 2024.The last jackpot was won by a single ticket sold in IL, matched all six numbers for a $560 million top prize.
Even though the jackpot was not awarded Friday evening, Mega Millions did produce some big winners. There were three second prize winners from Friday night's drawing, matching the first five lotto numbers but not the Mega Ball number. The three second prize winning ticket(s) sold in CA,MD,VA won $1,000,000 cash each.
In addition, 10 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. Other winners Friday evening included 287 tickets that matched four lotto numbers and won $500. 927 tickets matched 3 of the 5 lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. These tickets are also each worth $200.
With nine ways to win, there were a total of 1,335,922 winning tickets sold across U.S. in the Friday, July 19th, 2024 drawing.
Mega Millions is a consortium associated with 44 state lotteries. To play Mega Millions, select 5 numbers from a set of 70 and pick one Mega Ball number from 1 to 25. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to pay 1 extra dollar to buy the Megaplier option, which multiplies the winnings 2 to 5 times but not grand prize. The minimum Mega Millions jackpot starts at 40 million dollar. The annuity option is paid in 30 equal annual installments. Winners may select one time lump-sum cash payout option instead.
