Tuesday's Mega Millions lottery jackpot rised up to $243,000,000, since no ticket matched all 5 white ball numbers and the Mega Ball number drawn Friday night. The cash option for Tuesday stands at an estimated $$108 million. Friday's $223,000,000 is the total payout - before taxes - if the prize is taken in annuity. The numbers from Friday, June 6th, 2025 drawing were 16-40-54-56-57 and the Mega Ball was 03, Megaplier was . The Mega Millions grand prize has been growing for 21 draws since Friday, March 28th, 2025.The last jackpot was won by a single ticket sold in IL, matched all six numbers for a $344 million top prize.
While the jackpot was not hit Friday evening, some players still walked away with big money. There were a total of 10 third prize winning tickets. These included 10 tickets that matched four white ball numbers as well as the Mega Ball and won $10,000.
In addition, 142 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $500. There were 402 tickets that matched 3 white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and also won $200.
With nine prize tiers, there were a total of 553,794 winning tickets sold nationwide in the Friday, June 6th, 2025 drawing.
Mega Millions is a consortium involving 44 state lotteries. It holds the record highest jackpot in U.S. lottery history. To play, choose 5 numbers from 1 to 70 then pick a Mega Ball number from 1 to 25. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to pay 1 extra dollar to buy the Megaplier option, which multiplies the prizes 2 to 5 times but not jackpot. The minimum Mega Millions advertised jackpot is $40 million. The annuity option is paid in 30 equal annual payments. Winners can choose one time lump-sum cash payout option instead.
