The grand prize for Tuesday Mega Millions game climbed to $280,000,000 (cash value $$126.1 million) after nobody matched all 5 white ball numbers and the Mega Ball number Friday night. The winning numbers from Friday, June 13th, 2025 drawing were 08-10-22-40-47 with Mega Ball 01 and Megaplier X.
Although the grand prize was not awarded Friday evening, Mega Millions did produce some big winners. There were a total of 10 third prize lucky winners. These included 10 tickets that matched 4 white numbers together with Mega Ball and won $10,000.
Additional prizes won Friday night included 166 tickets that matched four lotto numbers and won $500. There were 475 tickets that correctly matched three white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and also won $200.
With nine different prize tiers, there were 545,210 winning tickets sold nationwide in the Friday, June 13th, 2025 drawing.
Mega Millions is an U.S. popular lottery game can be played in 44 member states as a shared jackpot game. Roughly 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back to the players in prizes. Roughly 15% is used to as retailer commissions and lottery operating costs. Roughly 35% total sales is used in government services, education and charities in the participating lottery states. Mega Millions drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday night at 7:59 p.m. Pacific Time. Mega Millions uses a 5/70+1/25 matrix to randomly pick winning numbers. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to spend 1 extra dollar to buy the Megaplier option, which multiplies the original prizes 2 to 5 times but not jackpot. The chances of winning any prizes are about 1 to 14. The odds of winning Mega Millions grand prize are 1 to 302,575,350. The minimum Mega Millions grand prize starts at $40 million. The annuity option is paid in 30 equal yearly payments. Winners may select one time lump-sum cash payout option instead.
