The jackpot for Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing skyrockets to $280,000,000

FL Mega Millions News and Payout for Friday, June 13th, 2025 Drawing
The jackpot in the multi-state Mega Millions drawing leaped to $280,000,000 for the Tuesday drawing. The lump-sum cash payout will be an estimated $$126.1 million. None of the tickets sold for Friday's $264,000,000 drawing hit five lotto numbers plus the Mega Ball number. The numbers from Friday, June 13th, 2025 drawing were 08-10-22-40-47 with Mega Ball 01 and Megaplier X.
Even though there was no jackpot winner Friday evening, some players still walked away with large winnings. A total of 10 lucky players won the third prize. Among them, 10 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000.
Also, 166 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $500. There were 475 tickets that matched three white ball numbers as well as the Mega Ball and also won $200.
With nine prize tiers, there were a total of 545,210 winning tickets sold nationwide in the Friday, June 13th, 2025 drawing.
Mega Millions is a consortium of 44 state lotteries. It holds the record biggest jackpot of $656 million in U.S. lottery history. On average, 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back towards the players in prize winnings. About 15% is used to as commission of retailers and lottery operating costs. Roughly 35% total sales is used to support government services, education and charities in the participating lottery states. To play Mega Millions, choose 5 numbers from 1 to 70 then pick one Mega Ball number from 1 to 25. The minimum Mega Millions grand prize is $40,000,000. The annuity option is paid in 30 equal annual installments. Winners can select one-time lump sum cash payout instead.
