The lottery official announced that the Tuesday, June 16th, 2026, Mega Millions drawing resulted in a rollover, creating an $452,000,000 grand prize for the next drawing Friday. The cash value will be an estimated $$201 million. The numbers drawn Tuesday night, June 16th, 2026 were 12, 20, 53, 67, 70 with Mega Ball number 12 and Megaplier x.
Though the jackpot was not hit Tuesday evening, Mega Millions had some huge winners. There were a total of 1 3rd prize winners. These included 1 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $10,000.
Additional prizes won Tuesday night included 156 tickets that matched four white numbers and won $500. Other prizes won included 472 tickets that matched 3 white numbers as well as the Mega Ball and won $200.
With nine prize tiers, there were 614,024 winning tickets sold across U.S. in the Tuesday, June 16th, 2026 drawing.
Mega Millions is one of the most popular lottery games in the U.S. offered in 44 member states as a shared jackpot game. On average, 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back on the players through prize winnings. About 15% is used to as commission of retailers and lottery operating costs. About 35% total sales is used in government services, education and charities in the participating states. Mega Millions drawings occur 2 times a week every Tuesday and Friday at 7:59 p.m. Pacific Time. To play, select 5 numbers from a set of 70 then choose a Mega Ball number from a set of 25. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to pay 1 extra dollar to purchase the Megaplier, which multiplies the original winnings 2 to 5 times but not grand prize. The minimum Mega Millions grand prize starts at 40 million dollar. Its annuity option is paid in 30 equal yearly installments. Winners can choose one lump-sum cash payout instead.
