The lottery official announced that the Friday, June 28th, 2024, Mega Millions drawing resulted in a carry over, generating an $137,000,000 grand prize for the next drawing Tuesday. The lump-sum cash payout stands at $$64.5 million. The winning numbers from Friday, June 28th, 2024 drawing were 28-31-33-42-66 with Mega Ball 24 and Megaplier 3. Nobody won the Mega Millions grand prize in the past 7 draws since Friday, June 7th, 2024.The last jackpot was won by a single ticket sold in IL, matched all six numbers for a $560 million top prize.
While the jackpot was not awarded Friday evening, Mega Millions did produce some big winners. A total of 5 lucky tickets won the 3rd prize. Among them, 5 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000.
Other winners Friday night included 225 tickets that matched four lotto numbers and won $500. Other prizes won included 650 tickets that matched 3 white numbers in addition to the Mega Ball and won $200.
With nine different ways to win, there were a total of 963,856 winning tickets sold nationwide in the Friday, June 28th, 2024 drawing.
Mega Millions lottery is played in 43 states and D.C. Mega Millions drawings occur 2 times a week every Tuesday and Friday night at 7:59 PM Pacific Time. The overall odds of winning any prizes are about 1 to 14. The odds of matching 6 Mega Millions numbers are 1 to 302,575,350. The minimum Mega Millions jackpot is $40 million. The annuity option is paid in 30 equal annual installments. Winners can choose one time lump sum cash payout option instead.
