The Mega Millions game jackpot has been pumped up to $79 million (cash option $54.4 million) for the next drawing in the multistate lottery game Friday night. The jackpot amount has been carried over because no one matched all 6 winning numbers to take the $68 million jackpot Tuesday night. The winning numbers from Tuesday, March 9th, 2021 drawing were 04-33-46-58-65 with Mega Ball number 13 and Megaplier X2.
While the grand prize was not hit Tuesday evening, Mega Millions did produce some big winners. There were a total of 9 3rd prize winners. These included 9 tickets that matched 4 white numbers as well as the Mega Ball and won $10,000.
Also, 214 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $500. There were 675 tickets that correctly matched three white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and also won $200.
With nine different prize levels, there were a total of 1,189,104 winning tickets sold across the nation in the Tuesday, March 9th, 2021 drawing.
