The multi-state Mega Millions jackpot has climbed to an estimated $122 million dollars after there was no jackpot winner in Friday's drawing. The lump-sum cash payout will be $81.1 million up for grab. The winning numbers from Friday, March 19th, 2021 drawing were 09, 14, 40, 58, 69 with Mega Ball 08 and Megaplier x3. There was no jackpot winning ticket sold in the past 354 draws since Tuesday, October 17th, 2017.The last jackpot was won by a single ticket sold in New York, matched all six numbers for a $104 million top prize.
Though the jackpot was not hit Friday evening, some people still walked away with huge pile of cash. There were a total of 12 third prize winning tickets. These included 12 tickets that matched four white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $10,000.
In addition, 280 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $500. There were 747 tickets that matched three white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and also won $200.
With nine different ways to win, there were a total of 1,329,852 winning tickets sold nationwide in the Friday, March 19th, 2021 drawing.
Mega Millions is one of the most popular lottery games in the U.S. offered in 44 member states as a pari-mutuel jackpot game. It holds the record largest jackpot in U.S. lottery history. The odds of matching 6 Mega Millions numbers are about 1 in 302 million. The minimum Mega Millions grand prize starts at 40 million dollar. Its annuity option is paid in 30 equal annual payments. Winners may select one time lump-sum cash payout option instead.
