The Mega Millions jackpot is on the move again. The jackpot for the Friday, May 9th, 2025 drawing increases to $100,000,000 with the lump-sum cash payout at a projected $$45.3 million. The numbers from Tuesday night, May 6th, 2025 were 16-17-43-46-58 with Mega Ball number 16 and Megaplier . Nobody won the Mega Millions grand prize in the past 12 draws since Friday, March 28th, 2025.The last jackpot was won by a lucky ticket sold in IL, matched all six numbers for a $344 million top prize.
While the grand prize was not awarded Tuesday evening, some people still walked away with big money. 5 3rd prize winning tickets were sold nationwide. Among them, 5 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers, as well as the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000.
Other winners Tuesday night included 139 tickets that matched 4 lotto numbers and won $500. There were 307 tickets that matched 3 white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and also won $200.
With nine different ways to win, there were 392,716 winning tickets sold across U.S. in the Tuesday, May 6th, 2025 drawing.

The overall chances of winning any prizes are about 1 to 14. The odds of matching 6 Mega Millions numbers are about 1 in 302 million. The minimum Mega Millions jackpot starts at $40,000,000. The annuity option is paid in 30 equal annual installments. Winners can choose one-time lump-sum cash payout instead.
