The Mega Millions lottery jackpot is on the move again. The jackpot for the Friday, November 15th, 2024 drawing moves to $387,000,000 with the lump-sum cash payout at a projected $$181.4 million. The winning numbers drawn Tuesday night, November 12th, 2024 were 18-31-33-64-68 and the Mega Ball was 17, Megaplier was 3. The Mega Millions grand prize has been rolling over for 18 draws since Friday, September 13th, 2024.The last jackpot was won by a single ticket sold in TX, matched all six numbers for a $800 million top prize.
Though there was no jackpot winner Tuesday evening, some people still walked away with large winnings. There were a total of 15 3rd prize winning tickets. These included 15 tickets that matched four white ball numbers as well as the Mega Ball and won $10,000.
Also, 288 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $500. 864 tickets matched 3 of the 5 lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. These tickets are also each worth $200.
With 9 ways to win, there were a total of 1,360,060 winning tickets sold across the nation in the Tuesday, November 12th, 2024 drawing.
Mega Millions is one of the most popular lottery games in the U.S. offered in 44 participating states as a pari-mutuel jackpot game. It holds the record biggest jackpot in U.S. lottery history. Around 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back for the players in prizes. Roughly 15% goes to commission of retailers and lottery operation expenses. Approximately 35% total sales is used to support government services, education and charities in the participating states.
