Mega Millions jackpot rises to $229,000,000 Friday night; One player matched the first 5 numbers

Wall Street is not the only place where fortunes are made and lost these days. One fortune is going to be up for grabs on Friday, when Mega Millions has $229,000,000 on the line. The cash option stands at $$107.4 million. Mega Millions' jackpot went up since no player hit all 6 numbers drawn Tuesday night. The winning numbers from Tuesday night, October 22nd, 2024 were 08-43-48-58-60 with Mega Ball 04 and Megaplier X3.
Though there was no jackpot winner Tuesday evening, Mega Millions did produce some big winners. There was a sole 2nd prize winning ticket from Tuesday night's drawing, matching all 5 white ball numbers but not the Mega Ball number. The one second prize winning ticket(s) purchased in TX will collect a quarter million dollar cash each.
