Powerball jackpot builds to $1,230,000,000 Saturday night; 9 tickets matched the first 5 numbers

The grand prize in America's favorite Powerball lottery is on the move. Because no one correctly matched all five white ball numbers and the Powerball number in Wednesday's drawing, the jackpot will rise to a projected $1,230,000,000! The cash option stands at $$595.1 million up for grab. The numbers drawn Wednesday night, April 3rd, 2024 were 11, 38, 41, 62, 65 with Power Ball number 15. Nobody won the Powerball jackpot in the past 40 draws since Wednesday, January 3rd, 2024. The last jackpot was won by a single ticket sold in Michigan, matched all six numbers for a 810,000,000 top prize.
Even though there was no grand prize winner Wednesday evening, Powerball had some big winners. There were 9 2nd prize winners from Wednesday night's drawing, matching the first five lotto numbers but not the Powerball number. The nine second prize winning ticket(s) bought in California(2), Georgia(1), Massachusetts(2), Maryland(1), New Jersey(1), South Carolina(1) and Washington(1) won $1,000,000 cash.
Additional prizes won Wednesday evening included 64 tickets that matched 4 white numbers in addition to the Powerball and won $10,000. 17 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that multiplied the prize 4 times to $40,000 cash! Other prizes won Wednesday night included 1572 tickets that matched 4 white numbers and won $100. 351 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that doubled winnings to $200 cash! There were 3827 tickets that matched three white ball numbers as well as the Powerball and also won $100. 955 additional players not only matched 3+1, but also purchased the Power Play option, doulbled the prizes to $200 cash each ticket.
There were 242,560 Powewrball winning tickets sold in the state of Florida. There were five lucky Florida players matched 4 white ball numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000. A single ticket sold in Florida matched 4 lotto numbers and also the Powerball with Power Play option purchased. The lucky ticket holder will collect $40,000. 428 tickets were sold in the state of Florida which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers. The lucky ticket holders will collect $100 each. There were 100 lucky Florida winners won $200 prize by matching 4 or 3+1 numbers with Power Play purchased.
