Powerball jackpot builds to $104 million; One second prize ticket sold

The jackpot in America's favorite Powerball lottery is on the move. Because nobody correctly matched all five lotto numbers and the Powerball number in Wednesday's drawing, the grand prize will leap to an estimated $104 million! The cash value stands at a projected $72 million. The numbers from Wednesday night, April 21st, 2021 were 21-25-32-63-67 and Powerball was 06. The Powerball grand prize has been rolling over for 124 draws since Saturday, February 15th, 2020. The last jackpot was won by a single ticket sold in Michigan, matched all six numbers for a $70.00 million top prize.
Though the jackpot was not hit Wednesday evening, some players still walked away with huge prizes. There was only one 2nd prize winning ticket from Wednesday night's drawing, matching the first 5 white ball numbers except the Powerball number. The 1 ticket(s) in South Carolina matched the first 5 white ball numbers with the Power Play for an incredible 2 million dollar cash win!
Other prizes won Wednesday evening included 7 tickets that matched 4 white numbers as well as the Powerball and won $10,000. 3 additional players not just matched 4+1, but also chose the Power Play option, multiplying the prizes by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each!
There were 42,624 Powewrball winning tickets sold in the state of Florida. A ticket sold in Florida matched 4 lotto numbers and also the Powerball with Power Play option purchased. The lucky ticket holder will receive $40,000. There were 66 lucky Florida players won $100 prize by matching 4 or 3+1 numbers. There were 29 lucky Floridaers won $200 prize by matching 4 or 3+1 numbers with Power Play purchased.
With nine prize tiers, the Wednesday night's drawing generated 473,242 winning tickets across U.S. with a total amount of $0 prizes.
Powerball lottery is played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Powerball drawings occur 2 times a week every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to spend 1 extra dollar to purchase the Power Play, which multiplies the prizes but not grand prize. The odds of winning is about 1 to 32. The chances of matching 6 Powerball numbers are 1 to 292,201,338. The minimum Powerball advertised jackpot is $40,000,000. The annuity option is paid in 30 yearly increment installments in 29 years. Winners may select one time lump-sum cash payout option instead.
