The jackpot for Monday's Powerball drawing skyrockets to $905,000,000

The estimated grand prize for Saturday night's drawing was $856,000,000. According to official Powerball, no player matched every number and the grand prize rised to $905,000,000. The cash value stands at an estimated $$391.9 million up for grab. The winning numbers drawn Saturday night, August 8th, 2026 were 05-09-35-54-63 with Power Ball 07. The Powerball grand prize has been rolling over for 42 draws since Monday, May 4th, 2026.
While the jackpot was not awarded Saturday evening, some people still walked away with huge pile of cash. There were five tickets that correctly matched the first 5 lotto numbers and won the second prize. The four second prize winning ticket(s) bought in AZ(1), FL(1), MI(1) and NY(1) won $1 million cash. The other one second prize winner(s) from TX also bought Power Play, which doubled the prize to 2 million dollar cash win!
Also, 32 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, plus the Powerball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. 12 additional players not just matched 4+1, but additionally chose the Power Play option, multiplying the winnings by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each!
There were 176,400 Powewrball winning tickets sold in the state of Florida. The lucky Florida ticket won the second prize was sold from . Powerball lottery is played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. The minimum Powerball advertised grand prize starts at $40 million. The annuity option is paid in 30 graduated payments in 29 years. Winners may choose one lump-sum cash payout option instead.
