Saturday's Powerball jackpot climbs to $457,000,000; One second prize ticket sold

The Powerball lottery jackpot has been pumped up to a projected $457,000,000 (lump-sum cash payout $$205 million) for the next drawing in the multistate lottery game Saturday night. The grand prize amount has been rolled over because no one matched all five white ball numbers plus the Powerball number to take the $434,000,000 jackpot Wednesday night. The numbers from Wednesday, July 8th, 2026 drawing were 12, 29, 37, 43, 55 with Power Ball number 18.
While the grand prize was not hit Wednesday evening, Powerball did produce some big winners. There was a sole lucky winner correctly matched all 5 white ball numbers but missed Powerball number, which won the second prize. The one lucky ticket(s) sold in TX, each won $1,000,000 cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Additional prizes won Wednesday night included 14 tickets that matched 4 white numbers together with Powerball and won $10,000. 4 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that multiplied winnings 4 times to $40,000 cash! Other winners Wednesday night included 281 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers and won $100. 78 additional players not only matched 4 white ball, but also purchased the Power Play option, double the winnings to a total win of $200 each! There were 639 tickets that matched 3 white ball numbers plus the Powerball and also won $100. 197 additional players not only matched 3+1, but also bought the Power Play option, doulbled the prizes to $200 cash each ticket.
There were 44,995 Powewrball winning tickets sold in the state of Florida. Three tickets sold in Florida matched 4 lotto numbers plus the Powerball. These lucky ticket holders will collect $10,000 cash each. 76 tickets were sold in the state of Florida which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers. The lucky ticket holders will receive $100 each. 18 tickets were sold in the state of Florida which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers with Power Play. The lucky ticket holders will collect $200 each.
With nine prize levels, the Wednesday night's drawing produced 511,306 winning tickets across the nation with a total amount of $0 prizes.
Powerball is one of the most popular lottery games in the U.S. can be played in 44 participating states as a shared jackpot game. Powerball drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday night at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time. The minimum Powerball grand prize starts at $40 million. Its annuity option is paid in 30 yearly increment installments. Winners may choose one-time lump sum cash payout instead.
