Monday's Powerball jackpot builds to $460,000,000; Four second prize tickets sold

There has been another roll-over in the jackpot for the multistate Powerball - to $460,000,000. The cash value will be a projected $$220.4 million up for grab. The grand prize grew because no player matched all six numbers from Saturday night's $443,000,000 drawing. The winning numbers from Saturday, March 2nd, 2024 drawing were 03, 18, 27, 36, 53 with Power Ball 12. The Powerball grand prize has been rolling over for 26 draws since Wednesday, January 3rd, 2024. The last jackpot was won by a lucky ticket sold in Michigan, matched all six numbers for a 810,000,000 top prize.
While the jackpot was not hit Saturday evening, Powerball had some huge winners. There were four second prize winning tickets from Saturday night's Powerball drawing, matching all five lotto numbers but not the Powerball number. The 4 second prize winning ticket(s) sold in California(2), Georgia(1) and Michigan(1) will collect $1,000,000 cash.
Also, 25 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Powerball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. 4 additional players not only matched 4+1, and also chose the Power Play option, multiplying the prizes by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each! In addition, 622 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $100. There were 174 tickets matched 4 white ball with Power Play option, doubled the prizes to a total win of $200 each! 1395 tickets matched three of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Powerball number. These tickets are also each worth $100. There were 449 tickets matched 3+1 with Power Play option, doubled the prizes to win a total win of $200 each.
There were 88,492 Powewrball winning tickets sold in the state of Florida. There was a lucky Florida player matched 4 lotto numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000. 200 tickets were sold in the state of Florida which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers. The lucky ticket holders will collect $100 each. 55 tickets were sold in the state of Florida which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers with Power Play. The lucky ticket holders will receive $200 each.
With 9 different prize tiers, the Saturday night's drawing produced 923,346 winning tickets across the nation with a total amount of $0 prizes.
Powerball is one of the most popular lottery games in the U.S. offered in 44 member states as a shared jackpot game. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to spend $1 extra to buy the Power Play option, which increases the original prizes but not grand prize. The overall odds of winning is about 1 to 32.
