The jackpot for Wednesday's Powerball drawing soars to $295,000,000

Wall Street is not the only place where fortunes are made and lost these days. One fortune will be up for grabs on Wednesday, when Powerball has $295,000,000 on the line. The cash value will be a projected $$139 million. Powerball's grand prize increased since no player hit all six numbers drawn Monday night. The winning numbers drawn Monday night, March 3rd, 2025 were 18-20-50-52-56 and Powerball was 20. The Powerball grand prize has been growing for 19 draws since Monday, January 20th, 2025. The last jackpot was won by a lucky ticket sold in OR, matched all six numbers for a 331,000,000 top prize.
Though there was no jackpot winner Monday evening, Powerball had some big winners. A total of 8 lucky players won the 3rd prize. 3 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that multiplied winnings 4 times to $40,000 cash!
Also, 175 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $100. There were 50 tickets matched 4 white ball with Power Play option, doubled the prizes to a total win of $200 each! 479 tickets matched three of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Powerball number. These tickets are also each worth $100. There were 145 tickets matched 3+1 with Power Play option, doubled the winnings to win a total win of $200 each.
With 9 different ways to win, the Monday night's drawing produced 377,994 winning tickets across U.S. with a total amount of $0 prizes.
Powerball is one of the most popular lottery games in the U.S. offered in 44 participating states as a pari-mutuel jackpot game. Powerball drawings occur 2 times a week every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 PM Eastern Time. Powerball lottery uses a 5/69 (white balls) + 1/26 (Powerballs) matrix to randomly choose winning numbers. Each play costs $2.
