Powerball jackpot moves to $168 million Wednesday night; 3 second prize tickets sold

Without a jackpot winner in the last drawing, the Powerball multistate lottery game has rolled over the grand prize to $168 million for Wednesday night's drawing. The cash option stands at $117 million up for grab. Nobody matched all 6 numbers to win the $157 million jackpot Saturday. The next Powerball drawing will be at 10:59 PM Wednesday night. The numbers from Saturday, May 8th, 2021 drawing were 12, 17, 20, 21, 26 and Powerball was 08. The Powerball grand prize has been rolling over for 129 draws since Saturday, February 15th, 2020. The last jackpot was won by a lucky ticket sold in Michigan, matched all six numbers for a $70.00 million top prize.
Though the grand prize was not hit Saturday evening, some people still walked away with large winnings. There were 3 2nd prize winners from Saturday night's Powerball drawing, matching the first 5 lotto numbers but not the Powerball number. The 2 second prize winning ticket(s) purchased in Maryland(1) and New York(1) won $1,000,000 cash. The other one second prize winner(s) from Iowa also bought Power Play, which doubled the prize to 2 million dollar cash win!
Also, 26 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers, as well as the Powerball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. 7 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely bought with the Power Play option that multiplied winnings 4 times to $40,000 cash!
There were 62,300 Powewrball winning tickets sold in the state of Florida. There were three lucky Florida players matched 4 lotto numbers and also the Powerball and won $10,000. These lucky ticket holders will receive $40,000 cash each. 201 tickets were sold in the state of Florida which matched either 4 or 3+1 numbers.
