Powerball jackpot goes to $120,000,000 Saturday; 1 second prize ticket sold

Wednesday night's Powerball lottery drawing has yielded no jackpot winner for the $100,000,000 grand prize. With no one hit all six numbers in Powerball , Saturday night's drawing is going to be worth $120,000,000 for a single winner. The cash value stands at a projected $$56.4 million. The numbers from Wednesday, May 22nd, 2024 drawing were 05-16-18-26-67 with Power Ball number 04.
Even though the grand prize was not hit Wednesday evening, Powerball had some huge winners. There was a sole 2nd prize winning ticket from Wednesday night's Powerball drawing, matching all five lotto numbers except the Powerball number. The one second prize winning ticket(s) purchased in CA will collect $1,000,000 cash.
Other prizes won Wednesday night included 9 tickets that matched 4 white numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000. There were 4 tickets matched 4+1 with Power Play option, multiplying the winnings by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each! Other prizes won Wednesday evening included 236 tickets that matched four white ball numbers and won $100. 64 additional players not just matched 4 white ball, but additionally purchased the Power Play option, double the prizes to a total win of $200 each! Powerball lottery is played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. To play Powerball, choose 5 numbers from a set of 69 then select 1 Powerball number from 1 to 26. Each play costs $2.
